Exam Pattern for JAM 2022 Mathematics (MA)

Exam Type – Objective type test and in online mode
Number of questions – Candidates have to face 60 questions in all
Time duration – 3 hours is the total time to complete the paper
Total Marks – The maximum marks in the paper is 100 marks

Section A	MCQ	10 of 1 marks each 20 of 2 marks each
Section B	MSQ	10 of 2 marks each
Section C	NAT	10 of 1 marks each 10 of 2 marks each

Marking Pattern: The marking scheme of the exam is given below

For Section A

For 1 mark question, -1/3 marks is deducted
For 2 mark question, -2/3 marks is deducted

No negative marking in Section B and C

About JAM 2022

JAM 2022 is conducted for admission in M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual degree, and other post-bachelor degree programmes in the IITs. The examination is open to all Indian and foreign candidates. It is a 3-hour computer-based online exam. JAM 2022 has seven test papers, namely, Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH).
